Warning: Hemorroidal Flare-up is Imminent

You know, although the red staters have their own mechanisms, they always get all colicky and whiny from the "elitist" condescension of the blue staters... they almost always point to moral values and religion, but that's only a small slice of the reason IMO. Just as prominent, or even more so, is crap like this... and unlike morality where you can fairly legitimately complain about a lack of respect for differing religious values, this is not something you can so easily cover up. It goes straight to how you value intelligence and education, and the red staters generally seem to disdain the book-learnin'.

It's like grade school all over again... the smart kids get picked on and are marginalized, consequences be damned. A large part of what happened last Tuesday was not an election for POTUS; it was an election for high school class president.
