Wake up people! We've seen this before..

And this is surprising to you because...?

Falluja advance encounters sporadic resistance

FALLUJA, Iraq (CNN)
-- U.S. and Iraqi forces have faced less resistance than expected and suffered minimal casualties, a commander said Tuesday, as the toops continue their second day of assaults on militant-controlled Falluja.

C'mon... WTF are you expecting?!? Just like the assault on Baghdad, the Iraqis know better than to face superior fire power in a straight-up battle... they just melt away, disperse, and reform elsewhere since we don't have enough troops around to cover all the possibilties. We have been suffering a lot of casualties in Iraqi... why have we not gotten the picture that the insurgents are pretty good at this whole guerrila warfare thing?

Seriously, this is ridiculous... I know the whole assault of Falluja got built up in the media because Dubya studiously avoided it until after the elections, but that was more about risk management than any overriding expectations.
