Straight from the horse's mouth...
It is really too bad that this question had to come from Schumer and didn't come from reporters covering this story... and there is a lot more here on filibusters that are falsehoods but are being taken as conventional wisdom due to the lack of, you know, real journalism.

As sad as this sounds...I was actually watching C-SPAN when that happened. I thought the way Frist said "...two, three, four, five,...,nine, ten..." was a clever way of insinuating that "the list goes on and on!" when in actuality they've only filibustered 8 nominees (I think).
And then I thought, "Hey Chuck! He didn't answer your question. Ask it again, because I enjoyed watching him fumble for words."
Isn't there a heart somewhere that this guy should be operating on? Much better use of his time.
