Making movies in "Bush's America"

I don't really have a lot to say about this except to express some wonderment that they don't go ahead with the film as it is in the book, i.e. with the perceived anti-religious overtones.

Why? Man, think of all the free publicity and the number of people who would see the movie... this has happened for several works of art of late: Fraken's Lying Liars book, Gibson's Passion of the Christ, Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11, etc. The more some interest group gets up in arms, the more people know about it and the more people see it.

Seems like an obvious winner to me... hell, I am now curious to read the book!
