Couple displays their poor parental skillz for all to see

You know that some sort of radio or TV jackass is going to spout off about what a great idea this is...

But really, all it does is show what a poor job you as a parent have done so far that you are now willing to try extreme and stupid measures to get yourself out of the hole you dug for yourself.

And it doesn't seem like such an intractable situation anyway: the kids are still willing to bring the phone out to their parents, so it's not like there is some sort of complete schism...
